BELL COBRA TAH-1F
Reg. N11FX
This American combat helicopter is a living legend. Having starred in TV series ?JAG - Judge Advocate General? and ?Walker, Texas Ranger?, the demilitarised Bell AH-1 Cobra was acquired by the Flying Bulls in 2004.
For many years, the Bell AH-1 Cobra was closely associated with the US Army. Manufactured from 1966, this combat helicopter gained its celebrated reputation during the Vietnam War. With the invention of the Apaches models, the Cobra was slowly phased out; apart from the Marines who still keep them in service. The Flying Bulls own a 1980s AH-1F model, fully dismantled and demilitarised following her discharge. All that remained had been cut in half when renowned American helicopter pilot and collector Chuck Aaron discovered the Cobra.
By 2002, however, he brought the helicopter back to her former glory, ready to perform at major air shows. The Cobra also starred in TV shows ?JAG ? Judge Advocate General? and ?Walker, Texas Ranger? with none other than Chuck Aaron at the controls. In 2004, the Flying Bulls discovered the Cobra and following lengthy export formalities, finally transferred the latest purchase to Salzburg.
Here, she was welcomed in grand style in December 2005. The Bell AH-1F consists mainly of brand new original factory parts. It was a joy for Pilot Siegfried ?Blacky? Schwarz, who received special training in the USA, to fly this unique specimen at air shows across Europe.
We would like to inform all model plane enthusiasts and friends of the Flying Bulls fleet that the company Flitework is now licensed to manufacture and sell our Cobra RC Model.
