Hans Gasser

1. Do you remember your first flight as a pilot?

HG: Yes, of course! It was in a C-Falke motor glider.

2. How many flying hours can you look back on?

HG: About 1,700.

3. In which Flying Bull aeroplane would you prefer to do a risky landing manoeuvre rather than use a parachute?

HG: Although my flying roots lie in parachute jumping, in any of the Flying Bulls? planes!

4. Airbus 380 or B-25?

HG: B-25, definitely!

5. If you could choose any plane, which would you like to fly, and why?

HG: To experience weightlessness and fly around the earth in a space shuttle would be unbelievably amazing!

6. Is there a (technical or design) feature on your aeroplane/helicopter which particularly intrigues you?

HG: Any flying machine with its combination of avionics and engineering is fascinating to me. But I won?t go into details here.

7. Which (flying) characteristics on which type of aeroplane/helicopter do you find particularly fascinating? And which do you view critically?

HG: STOL planes, that is, planes with short take-off and landing capabilities, are particularly interesting! But when we?re talking about approved planes, not including ?experimentals? and test planes, then its usually the pilots with little experience who can be considered the critical factor.

8. Have you never had an uncomfortable feeling when boarding or during a flight because of the age of the machines?

HG: No!

9. What was the most turbulent flight you?ve ever had?

HG: Many of them were turbulent, but none could be called drastic or extremely dangerous!

10. Which machine should definitely still be added to the Flying Bulls collection?

HG: A Mustang!!!
