AERO Friedrichshafen 2010

The future meets the past ? the Flying Bulls at Aero 2010.

For four days last weekend, Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance once again became the focal point for flying enthusiasts as it staged AERO 2010, the Global Show for General Aviation. Over 40,000 visitors thronged to the exhibition ? including three guests of honour from Hangar-8 and the Blanix Glider Team.

The exhibitors brought plenty of innovations with them to inspire visitors to the show. But it was two older planes that caused jaws to drop. When the BO-105 and the Lockheed P-38 Lightning took to the air on Saturday afternoon, even seasoned flying fans gazed at the heavens in amazement, spellbound by the BO?s loop-the-loops and the unmistakeable sound of the P-38. The silent show by the Blanix Team rounded off our appearance in the skies. On the ground, the Cobra drew many curious glances.
