Two silver arrows pierced the sky...

? and made the racing cars that remained on the ground look even older than they were. On 12 and 13 September the Wings & Wheels display was held for the second time at Münster-Osnabrück airport. More than 10,000 spectators watched a combination of veteran vehicles rarely seen elsewhere. A twin radial engine plane, the Mitchell B-25J, picked a fight with a Boxer engine ? the winner was clear from the start, and it was only "buzzing" the earthbound Porsche 906, so to speak. The former warbird received celebrity support from the P-38 Lightning.
